Plenty of kennels say no to a reactive dog. We say yes more often than most, because 160 acres and a family homestay remove the two things that usually set a dog off: a row of strange dogs on the other side of a wire door, and nowhere to go. Your dog gets their own space, a settling-in period before anything is asked of them, and handling from one person who reads them rather than a roster of staff who do not know them yet.
We will be honest with you about what we can manage. Before any stay we talk through your dog’s triggers, their history and how they are with people and other dogs, and if the farm is not the right fit we will tell you so rather than take the booking. Bowen therapy runs through the stay to settle the physical tension that travels with a fearful dog, and you get a written handover so what worked here keeps working at home. Call us on 0450 439 555 before you book. We will ask what your dog does when a stranger approaches, how they are on lead around other dogs, what they have been like in kennels before, and whether anything has changed recently at home. That conversation decides whether a stay works, and it is free.

Stays run from a long weekend to several weeks, and long-term boarding is available when you are away for a season rather than a fortnight. Medication is given on your schedule, special diets are catered for, and you get updates while you are gone. Pick-up and drop-off can be arranged across the areas we serve, so a holiday for you does not start with a three-hour drive.
