From the bay to the farm
Fraser Coast dogs do well for walks, from the off-leash foreshores at Point Vernon and Urangan to the long Hervey Bay Esplanade Trail and the historic streets of Maryborough. The catch is that most of it is on-leash and busy, the piers at Urangan and Torquay are off-limits to dogs, and K’gari, Fraser Island, does not allow dogs anywhere at all.
A residential stay is the opposite of a quick beach walk. Your dog swaps the leashed foreshore and the household routine for 160 acres of open paddock and structured, off-lead training all day, then comes home settled. With the farm only a short country drive inland, it is an easy step up from the local parks when they are no longer enough.

How the Stay & Train program works
Our Stay & Train is a residential dog training stay set on a peaceful Queensland farm. Sometimes called a board and train program, it lets your Fraser Coast dog board with us while receiving structured training support every day, away from the distractions of home. Your dog boards on our 160-acre farm and follows a structured daily routine of reward-based training: assessment, a settling-in period, then daily sessions covering obedience training, recall, impulse control and loose lead walking, finished with a handover so you can hold the results at home.
How is a dog board and train different from an in-home or group class?
An in-home visit or a weekly class gives your dog an hour or so at a time, around the distractions of normal life. A dog board and train is immersive: your dog lives and learns with us every day, which suits dogs who need consistency, space and calm handling more than a busy room can give.
Is board and train suitable for anxious or rescue dogs?
Yes, when it is done gently. Anxious, nervous and rescue dogs often need a few days to decompress before real learning starts. Can you help with separation anxiety training?
