Welcome to The Mutts Nuts

Hi, we’re Julia and Shane — the humans behind The Mutts Nuts.

We live on an organic farm in Degilbo, Queensland, with a pack of happy Kelpies, a few bossy geese, and a cat who’s definitely middle management.

We started The Mutts Nuts because we wanted dogs to have a real holiday space — not a concrete kennel. Here, dogs stay in our farmhouse, snooze on the couch, explore the paddocks, splash in the river, and eat better than most humans. Every guest gets love, laughs, and a bit of Bowen therapy to help them unwind.

Between us, we’ve spent years training working dogs, helping rescues find balance, and perfecting the art of dog cuddles. We treat every dog like our own — which means they get freedom, structure, and ridiculous amounts of affection.

Our favourite compliment? “When we die, we want to come back as one of your dogs.” We couldn’t ask for higher praise — and honestly, we’d want to come back here too.

Basically, it’s a dog’s dream. And we get to live it every day.
